I found Twitter got a new function. We can create a list to group up he people I am following. I am following around 300 people. So, The first page of my twitter will be flooded the updates less than 3 minutes. I can't read the updates at all. I need to categorize the people I am following. I know there are a lot of twitter clients to provide a list to organize the updates. But the web interface is the most accessible way, it is without any software installation. Now, I can have my blog friends' list, News and Goggle Updates list. That is similar to reader the rss feeds. Lastly, the lists are public or private.

That seems to be Android 2.0 - Messaging not much different. The new version has the photo of contact shows on screen.

But there is a search function. That is very helpful.That makes SMS messaging is more auditable. I always lost the track on the information in SMS, because most of phones cannot search in SMS.

Android 1.6 is released not long time ago. While I am waiting for a ROM update of Android 1.6 from HTC, Android 2.0 is released this week. Wow that is a power of opensource. Moreover, there are a lot of great upgardes. I found the new version got a multi-touches virtual keyboard!(What does it mean there is multi-touches support by 2.0?)

There are a few key features updated:
1. Contacts and accounts
- multi accounts sync are supported
2. Exchange supported (Offically, I am using HTC Magic, I can sync with the MS Exchange).
3. Camera support enhanced
- such as built-in flash, Digital zoom
4. Better Virtual Keyboard
- it supports multi touch keyboard
5. New browser with HTML 5 supports
6. New Media framework

For the User Interface, I found some icons are updated, such as Phone, Contacts and Messaging.

Google Voice is a new feature from Google. Currently, that is still available by invite. I have watched some video clips about its features. Yes, Google Voice has a voice mail feature and you can listen your voice mail online. That is a lot of VOIP applications have this feature. I have used Skype Voicemail around 4 years ago. But it can do voice to text. It can provice a voicemail transcription to your Gmail and sms too! That is great, it makes all your voicemails are searchable. Today, I read Google offical blog, you can bring your own mobile and binded with Google Voice(but I think that is US only).

I had a look on Officeworks yesterday. I found nearly all new computers are still pre-installed with Windows Vista, not Windows 7. That sounds only Dell is selling new computers with Windows 7, but I saw all demo computers in Officeworks yesterday are still with Windows Vista.

Facebook has changed their homepage. They changed the single feed into two new feeds, "News Feed" and "Live Feed". News Feed is getting the most interested content your friends posting. For "Live Feed", it is capturing your friends' the real time actions in facebook. I can see facebook to have more real time content, same as Twitter. I guess they are working on the real time search now!

I got an email from Amazon about Kindle. Now, they sells Kindle internationally, not only just US. The price is USD$256, that sounds attractive to myself (now, USD to AUD is very good.) It has eInk screen with 3G access, that sounds suitable for myself.

I was waiting wordpress 2.8.5 for long time. I was woundering why was wordpress project get quiet....

The most of your guys know Android can be a phone, but it can be a pedometer too. There is an apps, calls "Pedometer" in the Android Market for this purpose. I think it used the accelerometer in the phone to sense the motion.

I used that to track the calories I burned when I walked from my office to Brisbane City(I am driving to work every day now.). I am not sure the accuracy of this apps, at least it can give me a rough ideal about the amount of engry I burned.

I got a flu, I felt sick for about a week. So, I cannot update this blog. Today, I opened my Google Reader. There are a number of news in there, I have spent a bit more time on my bed for these few days. Wow, I missed a lot. The most interesting one is Google Malware Warning. Now, Google will put "This site may harm your computer." in the search result. Wow, they are doing anti-virus job now and that is useful.

I found out the work around for Single Origin Policy for cross sites client scripts and AppEngine. But that is not very good. That is not a pure client side solution. The client scripts need to request a PHP (or scripting files) in the same server as a proxy. That PHP script will forward the requests to AppEngine and get the responses back to the client scripts.

Google Web toolkit and AppEngine are working together very well. But I found a lot of tutorials showing GWT script and AppEngine are sitting in a single box. But I believe that should be able to send RPC calls to a separated servers. Google Map GWT library is to send RPC calls to Google Map Server. So, there should be a way to write an application with a separated GWT client script and AppEngine.

(Note: I found after the service class casted to ServiceDefTarget, I can use setServiceEntryPoint to a remote server. But our web browsers has Single Origin Policy, which blocked the request to remoted servers. I am checking whether any work around.)

I read a blog post from Android Developers Blog. There are a step-by-step tutorial for Gestures API. Finally, I got a more clear picture. Those gestures are to control the action of applications, like a shortcut. For example, you can write a circle on a screen, that means "Open a new file".

I found Dell 11 Z series is available in Australia. That looks a CULV laptop, but it got an Intel Pentium Dual Core SU 4100 CPU, rather than a Duo Solo. That sounds more powerful than there. Moreover, the sepcifications are included 2GB and 250GB Hard disk, that sounds a full-scale notebook. I can say that is a thin laptop without DVD-Rom.
